Can I wear my mouthguard with braces?

Yes! Wearing a mouthguard can be worn with braces! In fact, we encourage it! With a mouthguard, you can prevent wires and brackets from cutting your tongue, lips, and cheeks. This also saves you from damaging the wires and brackets which protects your investment.

Our Guard Your Smile Program helps get mouthguards to our student-athletes to help protect against:

  • Chipped, cracked, or broken teeth
  • Displaced or knocked-out teeth
  • Cuts to the tongue, cheeks, and lips
  • Broken or dislocated jaw
